SONGS FOR FREEDOM - The New Album by James Kole

Rockin' the stage with a force like thunder, James Kole’s musical talent is mesmerizing, and his energetic aura commanding. A singer/songwriterfrom Scottsdale, Arizona, Kole has impressed audiences throughout Arizona with his unique blend of blues, rockabilly and American folk, earning him the title “Local Legend” in the 2008 edition of Perfectify Magazine. Outside the local scene, his music has a long list of filmand television credits, including projects for Miramax, HBO, WashingtonSquare Films, MTV, PBS and even Red Bull energy drinks. In 2003, Kole was awarded the Best Original Song at the Saguaro Film Festival for his hit, “Big Orange Sun.”
- Elite Racing
Listening to Kole you could easily imagine him firmly grounded at either end of a wide musical spectrum - from blues guitarist to folk singer. Interestingly it's his ability to combine the best elements from either side that gives him his own unique and personal sound. With a Fender Telecaster strapped on, and a harmonica around his neck, you might get that 'Bob Dylan inpression', but Kole's music is closer to to Clapton than Dylan.
